GSL Education are looking for a passionate Primary Teacher to join an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting in a welcoming school in Nottingham. This September-start opportunity is perfect for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who have a strong interest in early childhood development.
Role Overview:
As a Primary Teacher in EYFS, you will focus on creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment that encourages curiosity and fosters the personal and academic development of children aged 3–5. You will be instrumental in laying the foundation for lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver creative, play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
* Promote emotional well-being, communication, and early literacy and numeracy.
* Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.
* Work closely with support staff, parents, and carers to ensure each child’s individual needs are met.
* Monitor and assess children’s progress through observation and documentation.
Requirements for Primary Teacher – EYFS:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism or experience in EYFS is desirable.
* Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
* Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
* A child-centred approach, creativity, and patience.
* An updated CV (covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
