We are an Adult Education service delivering courses across the community in a range of subjects, from basic computer courses, functional skills in English and Maths, to painting and drawing, among others, within adult learning centres and community venues.
The successful candidates will be part of a busy administrative team, assisting learners with enrolment, maintaining education records, and performing data entry tasks.
As the first person to greet our learners, you will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and create a friendly, welcoming environment for all.
Essential requirements for candidates:
* Excellent customer service skills
* A friendly and welcoming attitude
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
* A commitment to data protection
Training will be provided on the department's management information system (MIS); however, experience with databases or data entry is advantageous.
As part of the team, the successful candidate will assist with opening and locking the adult education centres as needed.
There is a requirement to be on duty during evening hours in term time (typically one evening per fortnight) and to support occasional weekend events.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 GCSEs A* to C (9 to 4), including English and Maths, or equivalent. The successful applicant must provide evidence of these qualifications.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Standard DBS Check.
