I'm recruiting a Credit Controller for an alternative finance business based in London. They're well established, growing, and need someone who knows their way around arrears management and loan restructuring.
The role covers the full cycle - early arrears calls, negotiating payment plans, preparing files for solicitors, instructing legal, and working with tools like Experian, Land Registry and GoCardless. A key part of the position is supporting loan restructures and forbearance across both commercial and non-commercial loans, so experience in that space is important.
This is a hands on role that suits someone who is organised, accurate, and comfortable dealing with customers in difficult financial situations.
What they're looking for: 📞 Background in credit control or debt recovery 🔄 Experience with loan restructuring across commercial and non-commercial loans ⚖️ Comfortable liaising with solicitors and handling legal files 📊 Good Excel skills for account reconciliation 🔍 Familiarity with Experian, Creditsafe, Land Registry or similar tools
