Contract: Permanent, full-time.

About the Project
Sizewell C (SZC) is central to the UK’s clean energy revolution. This groundbreaking nuclear power plant project in Suffolk will contribute significantly to a sustainable future. Supported by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C offers unique opportunities to innovate, grow, and excel.
The Role
The Utilities Project Manager will report to the Utilities Senior Manager and will oversee activities related to the full lifecycle delivery of a Utilities contract or work package, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
This role involves planning and delivery aligned with safety, quality, time, and cost parameters, supporting engineering, construction, and project management excellence. The role includes managing utilities such as Telecommunications, Potable Water, Foul Water, Natural Gas, Power, and Sub-stations across SZC sites, including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, disconnections, and decommissioning of utilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage utilities project activities, ensuring they meet timelines and budgets.
* Define work scope and deliver within scope using applicable regulations like the New Roads and Streetworks Act.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
* Implement best practices to optimize project efficiency and quality.
* Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and standards.
* Manage stakeholder relationships and communication.
* Support the Utilities Manager in delivering the utility strategy and continuous improvement.
* Utilize industry knowledge of utility services to inform project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates will have experience in Utilities, Civil Engineering, or Construction sectors, with:
* Knowledge of utility services and project management operations.
* Familiarity with service avoidance, safe digging practices, BWIC, and CDM Regulations.
* Proven delivery track record in similar environments.
* Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Willingness to learn and adapt.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments.
* Ability to complete security clearances and CTC checks.
Preferred Certifications and Skills
* New Roads & Streetworks Act Qualification
* Utilities Safety Card (EUSR)
* Water Hygiene Certification
* SMSTS Certification
* Experience with CAD or Microsoft Project
