The Bset Connection are currently seeking a Accounting Assistant for a Manufacturer and distributing Company in the Bradford (BD5) area.
Hours of Work Mon to Fri 0800-
Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant
1. Dealing with all supplier account queries and keeping the ledgers reconciled and tidy.
2. · Filing/retrieval of information
3. · Inputting purchase invoices and credit notes on bespoke computerised Purchase Ledger, also checking delivery notes against invoices.
4. · Chase missing receipts and delivery notes and deal with any outstanding discrepancies.
5. · Print bank statements for all companies and post cash making sure the cashbook and bank account reconcile each day/month.
6. · Print and send bank statements to credit control for customer cash allocations.
7. · Chase missing invoices for the month end and ensure all the ledgers are reconciled.
8. · Post and reconcile credit card transactions for month end.
9. · Preparing and posting weekly wages journals.
10. · Monthly balance sheets reconciliations.
11. · Quarterly VAT returns.
12. · Budget variance analysis.
13. · Updating Fixed asset register
14. · Assisting the finance manager with the preparation of the monthly MI Pack.

15. Attention to detail.

17. Good accuracy and organisational skills.
18. Ability to work to target.
19. PC literate.
