Flexibility and teamwork are essential for the role anddemands of the department along with been able to adapt to changing situations.
You should be educated to GCSE Maths & English orequivalent and willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 in Clinical Care or developequivalent level of competence which can be demonstrated by knowledge andskills gained from experience and competency-based training.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work as part of the multidisciplinaryteam delivering a range of designated tasks/duties of a clinical and non-clinical nature including personal compassionate care to patients, workingwithin agreed policy and procedures.
The post holder will undertake assessment and recording ofbasic patient clinical observations/test results as part of the overallassessment of a patient.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the NMCRegistrant at all times, who holds delegated accountability for the workdesignated.

Experience
* At least 6 months of care experience working in a health or social care setting.

Knowledge and Awareness
* Confidentiality understanding of Information Governance

* Willingness to undertake competencies supported by clinical skills training and education to gain theoretical underpinning knowledge in a range of clinical interventions and use of test equipment e.g. blood glucose monitors, venepuncture, cannulation etc.

Qualifications
* Care Certificate
* Completion of a clinical skills competency- based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3, or willingness to undertake.
* GCSE Maths & English or qualified to equivalent Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English, or willingness to undertake.
