Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk/Accounts Assistant

Part-Time 20 to 25 hours per week (4 or 5 days per week)
Up to £28,000 per annum, pro rata
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business based in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield. They are looking to appoint a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a part-time basis, this role would be temp to perm for the right person.
This is a varied and hands-on role involving purchase ledger duties, general accounts support, and wider administrative tasks. Experience with Sage 200 would be advantageous but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing purchase invoices and managing supplier queries
• Supporting finance tasks including data entry, reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting with internal paperwork, filing and general admin duties
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring good financial housekeeping
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and reporting to management
• Following company procedures and contributing to a tidy, compliant working environment
Essential Requirements
• Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar accounts role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to supporting different business functions
