We are seeking a Linear Programming (LP) Engineer with extensive hands-on expertise in refinery optimization and economics to join our Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD). The role involves developing LP models, conducting simulations, evaluating projects, and providing technical advisory support to refinery management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and optimize LP models for refineries using PIMS software to maximize net cash margin.
* Conduct simulation and back casting using Aspen HYSYS, analyze deviations, and propose improvements.
* Evaluate projects technically and financially, supporting decision-making processes.
* Provide technical advisory on LP and optimization matters, communicate results, and ensure implementation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align LP models and objectives.
* Validate and calibrate LP models, document changes, and support global modeling efforts.
* Participate in LP gatekeeping processes, review model changes, and conduct training sessions.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related; advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum 15 years of LP experience in refining or gas plants, with 10+ years in LP modeling and economics.
* Proficiency in PIMS, Aspen HYSYS, and relevant tools.
* Proven record of applying LP models to improve refinery operations and profitability.
* Deep knowledge of refining processes, markets, and trends.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
