About the Role
We are working with an established Food business to recruit a newly created position within their global purchasing operations.
Company Background
We are partnering with a well-known and recognised Food business, which has been supplying to the UK's major supermarkets for over 45 years.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Management: Select and manage suppliers through identification, evaluation, quality control, and risk assessment, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
2. Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement global procurement strategies, optimising costs through negotiation of contracts, terms, and pricing.
3. Negotiation: Utilise skills to negotiate best prices, payment terms, and deals from suppliers.
Experience Required
1. Strategic Procurement experience, ideally within the Food, FMCG, or Finished Goods industry.
2. Management of global suppliers, ensuring value and supply chain efficiency, building healthy relationships, and ensuring continuous flow.
3. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
4. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
5. Knowledge of international shipping, duties, and delivery processes (beneficial).
6. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
7. Strong IT skills, confident with spreadsheets.
Additional Details
Our client is based in Surrey and requires 4 days in the office per week, with Fridays WFH.
