Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, helping them to develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery setting.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues in English.
* Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring individual needs are met.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and confidence.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings.
Qualifications
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
* Strong leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
* A full enhanced DBS will be required and all safer recruitment processes will be followed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
