Role: Assistant Facilities Manager
Location: Manchester, M20 2UR
Salary: £34,000 per annum + overtime
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Role Overview
Location: Manchester, M20 2UR

What You'll Do
* Review and evaluate existing soft & hard services contracts to provide KPI and SLA reporting.
* Provide day-to-day hard & soft services contract management (cleaning, vending, catering, contractor management, etc.).
* Produce accurate contract performance reports weekly, monthly, and on request.
* Produce helpdesk-related reports and communicate completed/planned works to client departments.
* Provide day-to-day facilities management operational support to the client.
* Client liaison and complaint management; deal with subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
* Comply with additional ad-hoc instructions; assist with overseeing Planned Preventive Maintenance scheduling.
* Operate as a member of the EMCOR team to lead and support all site-based services.
* Ensure KPIs/SLAs are met and communicated to the team; plan and coordinate team briefings and toolbox talks.
* Review staffing levels and labour costs to ensure budget adherence; provide monthly operational reports including budget performance.
* Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practice across site(s); regularly meet with the client to support partnership values.
* Deliver outputs against agreed KPIs; identify cost reduction opportunities from improved maintenance techniques.
* Manage/assist in recruitment procedures to ensure compliance; assist in the duties and responsibilities of the Operations Manager in their absence.
Who You'll Be
* Technical Certificate or Diploma (advantageous)
* IOSHH or NEBOSH qualified (advantageous)
* Experience producing & reviewing RAMS
* Experience in a similar role managing complex high-value contracts with hard and soft services
* Experience using Word, Excel, CMMS and Helpdesk packages
* Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills with a focus on accuracy
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to maintain professional relationships and handle complaints effectively
* Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
* Drive, resilience under pressure, and ownership of responsibilities
* Understanding of operational needs and commercial implications
