About the role
Arts University Bournemouth Students’ Union (AUBSU) is seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded Students’ Union Manager to lead our small but ambitious team through its next chapter of development. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in a creative, student‑led environment that champions empowerment, inclusivity, and meaningful student engagement.
The Students’ Union Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the Union, including governance, finance, compliance, HR, and supporting elected student officers to deliver impactful campaigns and services. As the most senior staff member, you will act as the bridge between student leadership and operational delivery — providing professional advice, strategic insight, and operational expertise that strengthens the Union’s role within the wider University. You will bring clarity, objectivity and direction to complex issues, while embracing the challenge of working in a democratic, fast‑paced, and values‑driven organisation.

The selection process for this role will be conducted in two stages. The first round of interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, followed by a face‑to‑face interview for shortlisted candidates on Tuesday, 2 December 2025 (provisional dates).
