Aston University, in partnership with Cambridge Education Group (CEG), is seeking an outstanding Academic Director to lead our newly launched London campus, situated at the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems.
Aston London, opened in spring 2025, is welcoming its first cohort of students and offering cutting-edge degree programmes in digital innovation, AI and data science, business analytics, global management, and cybersecurity, delivered by renowned faculty from Aston Business School and the Sir Peter Rigby Digital Futures Institute.
We are looking for an inclusive and strategic academic leader with proven experience in education strategy, academic delivery, quality enhancement, and collaborative leadership.
As Academic Director, you will oversee the academic development and operational delivery of Aston London ensuring an exceptional student experience and sustained academic excellence. Based in London, you will work closely with internal teams, partner colleagues, and industry collaborators to support high-quality teaching, digital innovation, and strong graduate outcomes, all aligned with the University’s 2030 Strategy.

Responsibilities
Lead the academic development and operational delivery of Aston London to ensure an exceptional student experience and sustained academic excellence. Collaborate with internal teams, partner colleagues, and industry partners to support high-quality teaching, digital innovation, and strong graduate outcomes in line with the University’s strategy.
Base pay range
Academic Director
Salary: £67,280 to £104,712 per annum
Plus £4,500 London weighting if applicable
Grade: Band 01
Contract Type: Permanent
Basis: Full-Time

Qualifications and requirements
Proven experience in education strategy, academic delivery, quality enhancement, and collaborative leadership. Ability to lead strategic vision and ensure high-quality teaching and student outcomes.
