Electrical Engineering Graduate
We are looking for Electrical Engineering graduates with a 2:2 or above in BEng or MEng Electrical Engineering to join WSP’s Graduate Development Programme. The role involves working in dynamic project environments with internal and external stakeholders across a diverse range of clients and projects.
Service Areas & Locations
* Energy Networks: Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, London
* Energy Transition (Renewable Power – Onshore Renewables): Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, London, Birmingham
Day-to-Day Activities – Energy Networks
* Engineering Design Support
* Feasibility Studies – site surveys, data analysis and identification of effective, sustainable engineering solutions
* Technical Reporting
* Site Visits and Inspections
* Project Management Assistance
* Stakeholder Engagement
* Continuous Learning
Day-to-Day Activities – Energy Transition
* Design, delivery and client engagement on renewable projects
* Contribution to proposals to understand business development and commercial considerations
* Participation in initiatives that influence service line growth
Graduate Development Programme
The two-year programme supports personal and professional development through core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, mentoring for professional registration and a breadth of on‑the‑job experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Graduated or graduating with 2:2 or above in BEng or MEng Electrical Engineering
* Completion of the application form and online skill enabler assessment
* Availability to start work in September 2026
* Passion for electrical engineering and enthusiasm for creative problem‑solving
* Desire to inspire and share new ideas
