About The Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.
Main Responsibilities:
* To carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
* Providing rapid response to breakdowns when required.
* Fault finding, troubleshooting, and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment, and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
* To follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s.
* Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
* To assist specialist subcontractors for both PPM and reactive works.
* To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
* Ensure Company & Site Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
* Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
* To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude.
* Complete any other associated tasks requested by management.
* Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained.
About You
Key Skills and desires:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
* PLC Qualification.
* An ability to work well under pressure.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
