Kelwel Care is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team in one of our newest residential children's homes based in Elmstead Market, Colchester, Essex.

Responsibilities
1. Work as part of a professional team to promote and provide the highest standard of care for young people.
2. Communicate effectively with children and young people, understanding and empathising with their needs.
3. Empower young people to grow into confident and resourceful young adults who understand and take responsibility for their own behaviours.
4. Communicate effectively with multi-agency teams within the social care sector, ensuring transparency throughout.
5. Offer advice, guidance, and signposting to other accessible organisations.
6. Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
7. Knowledge of the main issues affecting young people today.
8. Support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
9. Help promote a stimulating, caring, and culturally appropriate environment for young people.
10. Provide practical and emotional support to young people.
11. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, resilience, and positive parenting skills, even under challenging conditions.
12. Work closely with young people, their families, and professionals.
13. Organise and facilitate social activities and health appointments.
14. Maintain the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, etc.).
15. Be organised, committed, and passionate about your work.
16. Hold a valid full manual UK/EU driving licence and be over the age of 21 (per The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015).
17. Experience working or engaging with young people.
