We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Gainsborough office and provide reliable, proactive secretarial support to our legal teams. Gainsborough manages a strong caseload and would be perfect for someone who enjoys focused, meaningful work in a supportive environment. You will play a key part in keeping the department running smoothly, including but not limited to: Supporting fee earners with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence, including audio typing where required Managing fee earner diaries, appointments and meetings using Microsoft platforms including Outlook and Teams Liaising confidently with clients, colleagues and external contacts Maintaining accurate client records, file notes and supporting billing processes Providing general secretarial and administrative support to assist with case progression We are looking for someone who is: Previous experience in a legal or professional services support role Strong IT confidence, with the ability to use Microsoft systems as part of day‑to‑day work, including Outlook and Teams Good audio typing skills or the willingness and ability to develop them A well‑organised and detail‑focused approach, with confidence handling sensitive information A clear, patient and professional communicator who works well as part of a team We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are comfortable adapting to technology and new ways of working, and who understand the importance of effective digital collaboration in a modern legal environment.
