About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join the Senior Management Team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham. This is a key leadership role, responsible for delivering operational performance, supporting strategic growth and ensuring high-quality, efficient services across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading operational performance across the hospital to meet financial, quality and contract targets and requirements.
- Managing and supporting key teams, including patient services and scheduling functions.
- Co-ordinate across consultant colleagues and teams to continually improve and deliver efficiency, utilisation and productivity.
- Supporting budget management and working closely with finance colleagues on performance and investment plans.
- Driving service improvement, efficiency and new business opportunities.
- Managing relationships with external stakeholders, partners and commissioners.
- Overseeing facilities, estates, equipment maintenance and outsourced service providers.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, health and safety and governance standards.
- Participating in the senior manager on-call rota.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing budgets and interpreting financial and operational data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead change, improve processes and deliver results.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using data to inform decisions.
- Experience in a healthcare setting (NHS or private sector) is desirable.
- A proactive, solutions-focused leader with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
