About Our Client
My client is an organisation based in Dudley, and the successful candidate will be joining a friendly, close knit team. The are fully onsite, and can offer the successful candidate a flexible approach to working, i.e. with working hours.
Job Description
The Finance Assistant will report directly to the Head of Finance and duties will include but are not limited to:
3. Being responsible for the Purchase Ledger function, posting invoices and matching to the purchase orders.
4. Preparation of BACS payments
5. Authorising new supplier accounts and maintaining existing supplier accounts details
6. To be proactive in the reconciliation of supplier statements
7. Assisting in the preparation of monthly VAT returns
8. Processing staff expenses
9. Processing other financial transactions to include journals, credit card expenditure, income postings, cashbook receipts and payments, and bank reconciliations.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will:
10. Have demonstrated experience working in a similar role in finance
11. Have experience working within a busy finance team
12. Understand general accounting principles
13. Be competent on Microsoft Excel
14. Have excellent interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
