Care Workers Looking to Transition to a School Setting
We are currently seeking individuals from the care sector to transition into an educational setting as a Teaching Assistant in a primary and secondary school within the B21 area.
In this role, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have ASD, PMLD and complex needs.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with students to provide one‑on‑one support tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting personal growth and independence.
* Assist students in acquiring and developing essential life skills such as communication, problem‑solving, and self‑care.
* Collaborate with staff to create individualized learning plans and monitor student progress.
* Uphold a safe and secure environment, ensuring the welfare and well‑being of the students at all times.
Qualifications
* Holding a Child and Adult DBS on the Updated Service.
* Experience in care settings is highly desirable, as you will be required to provide personal care.
* An understanding of autism and other learning difficulties is beneficial.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and create a supportive learning atmosphere.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs and challenges of the students.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
Contract Details
* Full‑time and part‑time positions available.
* Temporary to permanent contract for the right candidate.
* Salary and pay rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
