Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trainee Paraplanner to join our team. The ideal candidate will support Financial Planners by conducting thorough analysis, preparing reports, and assisting in all areas of technical back office administration. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and previous financial services experience would be advantageous but not essential.
There is flexibility for the right candidate, as to whether this role is 4 or 5 days per week.
Specific Responsibilities
· Assisting in the preparation of letters and technical reports and basic draft wills for Financial Planners, from a brief and/or client file information.
· Managing in progress applications, including product transfers and new product applications for investment, equity release and insurance products. In accordance with this, communicating with clients and providers, and addressing issues where appropriate.
· Researching products and funds to enable suitable providers to be selected for clients.
· Reviewing and commenting on the suitability of existing pension, investment, and protection arrangements.
· Handling client correspondence on behalf of Financial Planners (which may include provision of specific information to clients).
General Responsibilities
· Answering incoming calls, taking messages and re-directing calls as required.
· Dealing with email enquiries.
· Greeting clients and arranging refreshments where necessary.
· Maintaining a tidy and professional office environment.
· Data entry into back office systems.
· Attending marketing events.
· Production of client valuations for review appointments.
· Collation of documents for tax year end summaries.
· Making sure you follow the firm's compliance processes and procedures at all times.
· Making sure you follow relevant advice procedures at all times.
· Making sure all client contact is carried out in a professional and courteous way, as well as in a timely manner.
· Making sure all client files are compliant on an ongoing basis.
· Providing support to Financial Planners in completing non-client facing tasks in relation to the preparation and administration of recommendations being made, in order to provide a high calibre of service for clients.
· Liaising with Financial Planners, case co-ordinators and providers as appropriate.
· Maintain client records and update client information on back-office systems to keep an effective audit trail.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 29.0 – 36.25 per week
