Building a sustainable tomorrow We are looking for a strategic and client-focused Sector Client Director Transport to join our UK & Ireland division. This senior leadership role is central to BAMs client-centric growth strategy, driving relationship-based sales and positioning BAM as a trusted advisor with key transport sector clients to support work-winning across the division. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will drive engagement with wider industry stakeholders and government, extending BAMs reach to build insight and influence across the sector. Reporting to the Transport Sector MD and with a matrix report to the Head of Key Accounts, you will lead client engagement across the sector, working with and supporting existing Client Relationship Leads. You will help embed relationship based sales as our principal route to market and lead on the selectivity and prioritisation of opportunities to deliver sustainable growth. You will take a strategic view of growth markets within the transport sector, providing guidance and direction to inform operational plans. A key element of the role will be ensuring alignment between BAMs senior team and their transport sector clients and stakeholders, coordinating engagement across all stages of the project lifecycle. Your team Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time Location: Flexible across the UK Making Possible Lead on the implementation of BAMs relationship-based sales model with Transport sector key clients, as well as targeting selected emerging future clients. Build and maintain a robust and sustainable pipeline of projects which fit BAMs growth strategy. Undertake early positioning for priority opportunities, working with Pre-Construction teams. Take responsibility for owning the relationship with specific Transport sector clients as the Relationship Lead, and work with existing Client Relationship Leads to further progress the relationship and pipeline with these clients. Promote cross-selling to broaden BAMs service offering to Transport sector clients, leveraging wider divisional capability. Build trust and loyalty through credible, client-first relationships. Align BAM with Transport sector and wider industry executives to help shape future policies and priorities. Work with the Marketing team to promote opportunities for sector and account-based marketing activities to support the positioning of BAM with our key clients Undertake client feedback for Transport sector projects and clients at regular intervals What do you bring to the role? Degree-level education or equivalent. Proven experience in client-facing, account management and work-winning roles within the built environment. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and change management capabilities. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, New Engineering Contracts, and CRM (Dynamics 365).
