We are seeking to appoint three enthusiastic and committed Consultant Anaesthetists to our friendly, supportive and dynamic Anaesthetic Department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The posts are full‑time, consisting of a total of 10 PAC hours per week (8.0 DCC + 2.0 SPA). Each post has fixed sessions in areas of sub‑specialty practice and pre‑operative assessment, plus annualised flexible sessions in a wide range of surgical specialties.
Responsibilities
* Work autonomously in your field of expertise to fulfil the clinical and non‑clinical duties within the agreed Job Plan.
* Manage the patients under your care and provide comprehensive elective and emergency anaesthetic services together with Consultant colleagues.
* Devote the main part of your time to the post duties as agreed and give them priority at all times.
* Contribute to the general, cross‑campus out‑of‑hours service covering a single campus per on‑call.
* Assist with the scheduling of flexible sessions and be prepared to provide clinical sessions on either campus as required by the service.

The Department of Anaesthesia at Nottingham University Hospitals provides in‑patient and day‑case anaesthetic services for a comprehensive range of elective and emergency surgical and non‑surgical specialities at the City and QMC campuses. The Trust also offers Pre‑operative Assessment, Acute Pain and Critical Care services, and in the QMC campus, anaesthetic services for the Major Trauma service and Emergency Department.
