Purpose
Our Corporate business is responsible for providing training support services for all in ScottishPower.
This role will focus primarily on electrical distribution fitting events. You will also deliver a range of craft skills across different business units.
You will deliver initial/refresher training courses to support each operating plan within the business. Working as part of a training group, you will develop your own skills to ensure all training activities are conducted to high standards of quality and safety, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and value for the business and customers.
Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive support for technical training needs analysis.
2. Develop, deliver, and evaluate training plans for internal and external customers.
3. Support the business with product and technique development.
4. Assist in designing, developing, and delivering operational safety programmes.
5. Ensure compliance with individual business policies and health & safety legislation.
6. Monitor and review training delivery methods to ensure quality and standards compliance.
7. Achieve training objectives effectively.
8. Utilise the available training and learning solutions efficiently.
What you’ll bring
* Recognised experience as a fitting craftsman, including switchgear installation, plant maintenance, and protection systems.
* Knowledge of ScottishPower's fundamental business processes.
* Understanding of engineering standards, specifications, working practices, and constraints.
* Knowledge of company electrical authorization policies and procedures.
Minimum Criteria
* Electrical fitting experience on distribution networks is essential.
* Ability and confidence to deliver craft and technical courses to diverse staff for safe working within the electricity supply industry.
