We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Permanence Team based in North Merseyside. In this vital role, you’ll focus on securing safe, stable, and long-term placements for vulnerable children. About the Role
As a Social Worker in the Permanence Team, you will:
* Work with children in care and those with a care plan for permanence.
* Use strength-based approaches to secure stable, suitable placements.
* Build meaningful relationships with children and families to ensure long-term success.
* Create care and placement plans that are sensitive to individual needs.
* Work alongside foster carers, residential providers, IROs, and legal teams to achieve the best outcomes.
This is a specialist role requiring excellent engagement skills, a strong understanding of risk, and experience in court, care planning, and children looked after processes.
Requirements
* A Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
* Experienced in working with Children in Care, Permanency Planning, and Looked After Children
* Confident in managing court processes, care proceedings, and long-term care arrangements
* A skilled communicator with the ability to build trust with vulnerable children
* Organised, methodical, and committed to delivering outcomes
* Creative, solution-focused, and reflective in practice
* 3+ years post-qualification experience is desirable
