Michael Page are actively working with a business who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on the outskirts of York on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a motivated and driven individual who enjoys process improvement and collaborating with the team. This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable professional to get stuck in to a hands on role. My client is well known for providing top quality training and working culture for their employees.
Job Description
3. Assist the monthly processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
4. Process purchase and sales invoices, payment runs, and expense claims accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Reconcile bank statements
6. Credit notes
7. Manage and update financial data in internal systems.
8. Support in month end closure of AP and AR.
9. Dealing with queries over the phone and email
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
10. Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable role
11. Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
12. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
13. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
14. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
15. A relevant qualification or coursework in accounting or finance is desirable.
