Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process

We have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Coordinator to join our OTC campuses. Being committed to inclusion, and having experience of working with young people who are at risk of being NEET, the successful candidate will have the ability to teach personal development, carry out progress reviews and contribute to the overall running of the centres.
Working alongside the Head of Centre and colleagues within the team, the post-holder will be pro-actively involved in supporting the day-to-day planning, organisation, and development of study programmes. You will need to be highly organised and have attention to detail when dealing with quality processes. This post also includes a role as an assistant Head of centre, to take a lead on the centre activities when the Head of Centre is off site. This maybe at Leiston or Halesworth.
You should have a good standard of education including Maths and English at level 2, a degree or professional qualification, alongside a teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within a specified time period). Some of our students have either not been in education or been in alternative provision and may need bespoke approaches to transition to full time education. You could work across campuses, and so must also be a team player, and be good at building rapport with other members of staff, encouraging and sharing best practice.
Please note that as Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site, you may be required to visit or work at and travel between campuses and therefore a driving licence is an essential.
At Suffolk New College, we promote the culture of BeSNC. Implementing BeSNC is not just a choice; it's a commitment to providing the best possible environment for our learners to thrive. It's a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and supportive community where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.
