Architecture Studio Lead
AtkinsRéalis are looking to appoint a new Studio Lead to our offices in Birmingham. They will be the inspirational lead for this studio as part of the wider Midlands, South West and Wales business and develop and expand our Architectural offering in the region.

Within the Midlands, South West and Wales business we have over 100 individuals involved in the design and creation of the built environment across Education, Commercial, Energy, Defence and Residential sectors. You would be working alongside architects, architectural technologists, interior designers, landscape architects and building surveying professionals, ranging from graduates to senior directors.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the studio, including staff development, resource management and finance.
* Work proactively within a multi‑disciplinary environment to deliver project management leadership on major opportunities.
* Lead and support business development and work winning/bidding within the local Birmingham and West Midlands markets.
* Develop the design culture and capability of our multi-disciplinary design team(s).
* Continue to develop designs rooted in a strong narrative that enhance our reputation.
* Secure work through bidding and developing compelling design concepts.
* Contribute to design leadership and culture.
* Ensure successful delivery of projects to a high level of quality and client satisfaction acting as Lead Consultant / Design Manager.
* Identify opportunities and support the development of winning bids for projects in government, education and related sectors – both single discipline and multi‑disciplinary.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified architect with ARB registration and full UK driving licence.
* Demonstrable track record and familiarity with commercial, residential and local government sector clients in Birmingham and the Midlands.
* A creative designer with an understanding of technical delivery.
* Proven team management skills and experience.
* Be able to work calmly under pressure and lead, inspire and motivate teams.
* Experience in preparing successful bids and tenders.
* Ability to confidently engage with clients and stakeholders.
* Direct experience as a lead coordinator, delivering projects at all stages.
* Good awareness of Autodesk Revit and managing projects in a BIM environment.
* Practical working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or other similar software packages.
