Salary: £36,000 - 76,000 per year Requirements: A relevant Bachelors degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or another STEM field (higher degree preferred) Experience in one or more areas such as: - Signal Processing & Data Analysis - Algorithm Development (Python, MATLAB, Java) - Detection, Classification and Localisation (DCL) - ML / AI for DCL and Sonar analysis - Performance Prediction Modelling - Operational Analysis - Trials Data Analysis - Finite Element Analysis & Fluid Dynamics - Transducer Design Strong communication skills to convey complex topics clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences Proficiency in mathematical and scientific modelling tools like Python or MATLAB Proven ability to set and meet deadlines effectively Existing or attainable Security Clearance (SC) Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth analysis of Sonar Systems using established methodologies Develop appropriate models and analysis based on performance requirements in collaboration with the system design team Model performance across a spectrum of realistic underwater acoustic conditions Evaluate sonar performance against customer requirements for bid responses Employ modelling and simulation to guide product decisions and refine operational concepts Assist in the execution of sea trials and analyze trial data against system performance requirements Produce comprehensive reports on trial data analysis and draw conclusions regarding trial success Regularly report on progress to project and product development teams Provide expertise during design reviews and customer presentations Technologies: AI Support Java Matlab Python Security Sonar More: At Ultra Maritime, we are dedicated to making a significant impact in the field of Anti-Submarine Warfare and Naval Sonar technology.
