This is an opportunity to join a well-established, close-knit high-street firm in Staffordshire that is looking to grow significantly over the coming years.
You’ll step into a busy Wills & Probate / Private Client role, handling your own caseload with support from two other solicitors in the team. The work is varied and client-focused, ranging from straightforward wills through to more complex estate administration, trusts and inheritance tax planning.
The firm has a strong local presence and values long-term client relationships, offering a supportive environment where quality of work and client care come first.
Who we’re looking for
4. Wills & Probate Solicitor (circa 1–2 PQE)
5. OR experienced Private Client Fee Earner / Paralegal with strong Wills & Probate experience
6. Experience managing a private client caseload independently
7. Experience with estate administration, including taxable estates and IHT reporting
8. Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
9. Comfortable meeting billing targets and managing time recording
10. Confident, empathetic and client-focused approach
What you’ll be doing
11. Managing a varied Private Client caseload including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, LPAs and IHT planning
12. Advising clients on estate planning, succession planning and asset protection
13. Drafting wills, trust documentation and deeds of variation
14. Administering estates from initial instruction through to final distribution
15. Identifying legal, tax and practical risks within estates and advising accordingly
16. Delivering clear, sensitive advice to clients, often in emotional circumstances
17. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and repeat work
18. Using case management systems and ensuring full regulatory compliance
Salary & Benefits
19. Competitive salary depending on experience
20. Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
21. Full-time preferred, but 4 days per week considered
22. Flexible working hours around a 9am–5pm structure
23. 21 days holiday, increasing with length of service
24. Bank holidays + Christmas closure
