We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our client's Investment Banking team in London, focusing on the Energy sector. This role offers exposure to high‑profile, cross‑border transactions within a leading platform, with a strong track record in renewables -including onshore wind, offshore wind, and battery storage-while actively expanding into oil & gas and regulated utilities. You will gain hands‑on experience across complex strategic mandates, working closely with senior bankers and clients on execution and origination. Responsibilities Support the execution of M&A, minority investments, and capital‑raising transactions across the Energy sector, with a strong focus on renewables (onshore/offshore wind and energy storage) and growing exposure to oil & gas and regulated utilities. Develop and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, trading/transaction comparables, and project finance models relevant to infrastructure and energy assets. Coordinate transaction processes, including due diligence, data room management, and interaction with key stakeholders such as corporates, infrastructure funds, lenders, and advisors. Prepare high‑quality client materials, including pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations, and sector-focused analyses. Conduct in‑depth industry research, covering energy transition themes, renewable deployment, regulatory frameworks, and capital flows across infrastructure markets. Work closely with Vice Presidents and Directors to support client relationships and origination efforts, contributing to strategic idea generation across both core and growth sectors. Assist in reviewing and guiding Analysts' work, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high standards across all deliverables. Requirements Experience: 3-6 years of investment banking or financial advisory experience, with exposure to Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrials, and a clear interest in renewables and energy transition. Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, with familiarity in project-based and asset-heavy business models (e.g. renewables, infrastructure concessions, regulated assets). Sector Interest: Demonstrated understanding of renewable energy subsectors (wind, storage), with an interest in developing expertise in oil & gas and regulated utilities. Execution Ability: Proven ability to manage multiple work-streams and deliver high‑quality output under tight deadlines. Client Exposure: Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, including corporates, infrastructure investors, and private equity sponsors. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and effectively. Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail, commercial judgement, and problem‑solving ability. International Exposure: Experience working on cross‑border transactions or with international teams is advantageous. If you are looking to join a growing Energy platform with a strong position in renewables and a strategic push into adjacent sectors, this role offers the opportunity to work on high‑impact transactions across evolving global energy markets.
