We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic leader who has the qualities and desire to be a Head of Year.
You will be an aspirational, caring, and compassionate person who embodies the school ethos of 'kindness, aspiration, perseverance'.
This is an excellent time to be joining the team as we transition from a House system to a Year system. The successful candidate will be pivotal in shaping the new Head of Year role. They will also be an exceptional practitioner in their teaching speciality. The Purbeck School offers a supportive and innovative workplace where young people are at the heart of everything we do. With a strong commitment to outstanding pastoral care, we are proud that our May 2025 Ofsted inspection judged the school to be 'exceptional' in many areas.

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Our School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
