Are you ready to lead impactful property investment and repair programmes that make a real difference in people’s lives?
Reed Public Sector is looking for a Surveying Services Manager to join the Asset Management team for a Housing Association and take the lead on delivering the planned investment programme, major repairs, and key property initiatives—including mould prevention and energy efficiency. You’ll ensure the homes meet the Decent Homes Standard, comply with all relevant legislation, and align with their 5- and 30-year business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of the organisation’s planned investment programme, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Manage major repair projects and respond to significant property-related challenges.
* Oversee the procurement and performance management of contractors and consultants, ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance.
* Ensure all works align with the Decent Homes Standard, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), and other relevant legislation.
* Act as the organisational lead on adaptations, alterations, and energy efficiency measures.
* Maintain alignment of planned delivery with the 5-year and 30-year Business Plan.
* Keep the organisation informed of legal and regulatory changes affecting property standards and compliance.
Role Requirements:
* Proven experience delivering investment programmes and planned maintenance.
* Strong background in project management, budgeting, and contract monitoring.
* Experience with asset management databases, stock condition surveys, and disrepair cases.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
* Ideally, you’ll hold an NVQ Level 4 or HND in Surveying, be RICS qualified (or working towards it), and demonstrate ongoing CPD.
