Student Services Coordinator
* Temporary Position
* Location: Kettering
* Hourly Rate: £14 - £16 per hour including holiday pay
Reed FE are working with a College in Kettering andare seeking a proactive and dedicated Student Services Coordinator to join the team on a temporary basis. This role involves direct interaction with students, providing 1:1 support and delivering group talks, focusing on financial support, enrolment, and career advice. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing key systems and ensuring the delivery of high-quality student services.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide front-line support to students aged 16-19, adults, and teaching staff.
* Offer personalised support and referrals for pastoral, health/welfare, and financial matters.
* Work closely with the Student Services Manager to design and deliver a comprehensive careers programme.
* Support the implementation of the bursary process, assessing applications and providing guidance.
* Deliver talks and group sessions on careers-related topics, including higher education opportunities.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on safeguarding and student interactions.
* Collaborate with internal and external support agencies to enhance student services.
* Participate in evening support sessions and college events as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in a student services or similar role within an educational setting.
* Strong understanding of financial support systems, enrolment processes, and career advising.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of delivering presentations and handling sensitive information.
* Proficiency in key systems related to student services (specific software knowledge preferred).
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and occasional weekends.
* Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
