About Us
Located in beautiful Dorchester, we focus on offering tailored care packages that cater to the unique needs of each child and young adult. Our team is trained in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting, ensuring that you have the tools and support to provide the best care possible.
Your Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to promote the welfare of our young people.
* Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with the children in your care.
* Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
* Be flexible in your availability, working 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins over a 3-week rotation.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Experience working with children and young people, along with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* A willingness to work towards a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent (Level 3 or 4).
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel purposes.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern on rotation. Your commitment will be rewarded with:
* A competitive base salary starting at £24,604.58 (unqualified) or £27,107.08 (qualified), with potential earnings up to £32,348.58 or £34,851.08 respectively, including sleep-in shifts.
* A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
* Up to 6 weeks of holiday per year.
* All meals provided during your shifts.
