English Teacher – Darwen
Humly is recruiting a Secondary Teacher QTS to join a secondary school on a long‑term basis.
This is a full‑time role starting 23/03/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This opportunity would suit a confident and engaging English specialist who can take full classroom responsibility across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key role in supporting pupil progress and delivering high‑quality English lessons, with the potential for the role to extend based on school needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing, and analytical skills
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment
* Assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to pupils
* Contributing to the wider English department and curriculum delivery
What You’ll Bring
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
* A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
Pay
Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 - £232.57 per day (M1 - M6)
