Temporary Legal Secretary (Dispute Resolution)
* Salary: £15-20 per hour, dependent on experience
* Location: Farnham, Wokingham, or Reading (Full-time in office)
* Contract: Full-time, Temporary
* Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide immediate temporary support to the Head of Department within our busy Dispute Resolution team. This role is ideal for a confident, highly organised individual with proven experience in a fast-paced legal environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Perform digital dictation tasks including accurate transcription and document production.
* Prepare various legal documents such as court documents, correspondence, legal forms, and case-related documentation.
* Support litigation tasks including preparing bundles for court, preparing briefs to barristers, and managing case files to ensure they are court-ready.
* Liaise with clients, counsel, courts, and internal team members to ensure smooth operation.
* Provide general administrative support including diary management, filing, and scanning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous Legal Secretary experience essential—ideally within litigation or dispute resolution.
* Strong working knowledge of legal terminology and court processes.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy department.
* Proficient with MS Office and digital dictation systems.
* Ability to work full-time from the Wokingham office (Reading or Farnham considered).
