W&A is delighted to be supporting a large, well established commercial growing business based in Arbroath with entities around the globe. An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join the business in a role that will support both the 'business as usual' activities within financial control and also a host of value-add and process improvement initiatives. As the business has grown finance is looking to provide the best possible service it can to help facilitate this growth. The Finance Business Partner will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to help identify, shape and implement a raft of new initiatives covering Financial Controls, Processes, Compliance, Reporting, MI and Systems. The role would be well suited to an individual with experience working on multiple finance project initiatives with conflicting deadlines. The role will be challenging at times but will have a real 'value add' impact on the business and ultimately be key to helping the financial control function become more operationally effective and better support the business. Overview of the role: To fully participate in the development and achievement of the Finance Departmental Vision To support the development of improved financial information systems and processes Preparing monthly accounts in accordance with the group timetable and standard accounting policies Investigating and preparing monthly variance reports comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts To complete monthly journals (accruals/prepayments/fixed assets/HP) Prepare and manage monthly departmental reports for with budget holders Assist in preparation of review of budgets and forecasts Support Cashflow preparation and monitoring To prepare/review VAT and Intrastat return. To prepare monthly balance sheets reconciliations Preparation of year end schedules for external audit teams in line with agreed timetable To provide cover for other entities of the business when required month end and others as identified To review the monthly payroll processing by third party provider Guide and support the weekly payroll team Individual: Ideally, you will be a fully qualified Accountant You will hold have a strong understanding of Financial Control from the ground up Process Improvement and Project experience Experience of developing and getting the best from finance systems Ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines Dedicated to producing high quality outcomes for the business Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
