Your Role:
As a Full-Time LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the direction of nursing services for your unit, in line with the Nursing Practice Act and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
* Delegating tasks to both professional and non-professional nursing staff while monitoring their performance.
* Observing patients for any symptoms or reactions, and identifying signs of potential adverse changes in their condition.
* Notifying attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, and implementing changes in orders as directed.
* Performing additional duties as assigned to ensure the highest quality of care.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
* High school graduate.
* Licensed Practical Nurse, with graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
* Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal every two years.
* Willingness to take on charge nurse responsibilities and work during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
* A genuine interest in geriatric nursing and the ability to provide quality care while following doctors’ orders.
* CPR certification, renewed annually.
* Commitment to attending in-service training and staff meetings as required.
