Job Title: Operations Director / Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Business Implementer PA to Director / Ops Director – Recruitment
Location: Southend-on-Sea (Hybrid flexibility possible)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: Long and demanding – this is a leadership role, not a standard 9-to-5.

We are a high-performance recruitment company specialising in placing elite legal, finance, and data professionals across the United States, with placement fees ranging from $25,000 to $100,000.
Our revenues are over $4M annually, and our mission is to scale to over $10M within the next two years. We have a strong brand, a proven delivery team, and quality clients, but now need a Number 2 to the Founder to help operationalise, hire, and build.

Your Mission
Lead the execution of our growth strategy by turning big ideas into scalable systems, hiring the right people, and ensuring smooth operations. Support the Founder by handling operational tasks, allowing focus on sales and leadership.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Operations & Systems: Build, improve, and lead business processes; create visibility across performance metrics; drive efficiency through automation and SOPs; oversee accounts and reporting with external accountants.
* Internal Hiring & Team Building: Manage recruitment of internal staff, build onboarding, training, and performance systems, ensuring hires support growth and culture.
* Execution & Project Ownership: Translate strategic goals into actionable plans; lead company-wide projects; track KPIs and maintain momentum.
* Right Hand to the Director: Act as a trusted operator, proactively solve problems, identify bottlenecks, and support the Director fully.
