Description Assistant Activity Instructor | 9556 | Casual Contract | £12.85 per hour | Grade B | Whittlingham Whitlingham Adventure offers a wide range of adventurous activities on water and land to young people, adults, families and to local communities. Activities include canoeing, climbing, kayaking, orienteering, sailing, stand up paddleboarding, windsurfing and more. Based within Whitlingham Country Park, a gateway to the Broads National Park, the centre provides outdoor learning activities with schools and youth groups, individual courses, adventure clubs, craft hire and a range of opportunities to be active outdoors. We are looking for qualified Instructors to join our team who will deliver to a range of people in their relevant activities. With at least some instructional experience of working in an outdoor centre or similar environment, you must hold: In date First Aid qualification (minimum 1 day training, as required by your instructor/coach qualification) In date face to face safeguarding training (minimum 3hrs, e.g. UK Coaching, Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership or equivalent) Minimum one qualified National Governing Body (NGB) Instructor/Coach such as: Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Dinghy Instructor Windsurf Start Instructor British Canoeing Awarding Body (BCAB) Paddlesport Instructor or Leader Stand up paddleboard Instructor UKCC Level 1 Coach (Or equivalent schemes/NGBs) Able to work flexible days and hours (can include: evenings, weekends and bank holidays); short sessions of a minimum of 2 hours Opportunities for progression and development within the centre and the industry, gaining a range of experiences during the season. Instructors are employed on a casual basis, with activities mainly being delivered throughout the summer season including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
