Void Supervisor - Local Authority (Contract)
Location: South East London
Rate: £28.60 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: Ongoing

Overview
We're recruiting for a Void Supervisor to join a busy local authority housing team in South East London. This is a hands-on role focused on overseeing the delivery of void (empty homes) works, ensuring properties are turned around quickly, safely and to a high standard ready for new tenants.
You'll play a key role in reducing void times, managing operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered in line with compliance, quality and cost expectations.
key Responsibilities
1. Supervise day-to-day delivery of void works across a portfolio of social housing properties
2. Manage operatives and subcontractors to ensure works are completed on time and to specification
3. Carry out pre and post inspections, identifying required works and signing off completed properties
4. Monitor progress against void turnaround targets and take corrective action where needed
5. Ensure all works comply with health & safety standards, including RAMS and safe systems of work
6. Liaise with internal teams (allocations, housing officers, planners) to coordinate property handovers
7. Manage materials, ordering and cost control in line with budgets
8. Ensure quality of works meets required standards and minimise defects/rework
9. Provide updates and reports on performance, progress and any issues impacting delivery
Requirements
10. Proven experience in a Void Supervisor / Repairs Supervisor role within social housing
11. Strong knowledge of voids, responsive repairs and property maintenance
12. Experience managing operatives and subcontractors on-site
13. Good understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance
14. Ability to carry out inspections and assess quality of works
15. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
16. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
