We have an excellent 12 month contract opportunity for a SC Cleared Commercial Officer, within a Central Government department. In this assignment you will provide practitioner level support across several divisions within the department and will work with teams responsible for sourcing, procurement, sales and contract management activity. Your remit will include Leading competitive or single source procurements and sourcing activities, including the development of invitations to tender, including complex contracts. Provide contract management of higher value or complex contracts. Provide delivery and oversight of commercial sales activity. Acting as a SME on sourcing, contract management and sales activity. Working alongside and advising project staff on acquisition strategies for procurements. Your experience will include Working in Commercial roles across sourcing, procurement and contract management activity. Owning decisions at tender evaluation stage and applying commercial expertise and judgement accordingly. Identifying the most suitable commercial approaches Applying commercial skills and judgement through analysis of evidence and appropriate risk-taking. Understanding and applying tools to monitor supplier performance, cost analysis, and contract related management information systems. Holding or working towards MCIPS certification. A background in purchasing Public sector experience Active SC clearance This contract is inside scope of IR35 and will require occasional travel to the office location.
