Vision for Education is seeking a passionate Youth Worker interested in starting a career in SEND education! Are you dedicated to supporting children and young people? Do you desire a rewarding career where you can make a meaningful difference in young people's lives?
We are excited to offer this bespoke opportunity to passionate individuals entering the education sector. We collaborate with client schools to provide successful Youth Workers with high-quality training and paid on-the-job experience.
Upon successful interview and clearance of suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we will assist in securing a paid placement in a school to develop your skills further.
About the role:
* The Youth Worker will support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
* Build strong rapport with students to encourage attendance and engagement in school activities.
* Follow the guidance of teachers while managing individual student needs and resolving conflicts.
* Working hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
* Position is term-time only for the full academic year.
* No previous experience or qualifications are necessary; a love for helping others is essential.
About you:
* A relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., Children and Young People's Workforce, Sporting qualifications) is preferred but not required.
* Ability to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check.
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviors and backgrounds.
* A non-judgmental, caring approach.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All staff undergo thorough interviewing and reference checks and must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check, registered on the Update Service.
