Degree Apprentice Construction Supervisor – 2026 – Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

We’re excited to open applications for our 2026 Apprenticeship Programme, starting in September. This is your opportunity to build a meaningful career where your work contributes to healthier, greener, and more inclusive places for people to thrive.

Our apprenticeship programme is a great opportunity to study towards a college or university qualification while putting everything you have learnt into action through on-the-job training. You will have the support of mentors who care about your growth, and you will establish a career where you will develop the technical and interpersonal skills to help you succeed and make a lasting impact.

As a Degree Apprentice Construction Supervisor, you will become part of our Building team, delivering award-winning public‑sector projects including Bath Spa University, the Royal London Hospital, and Bristol schools. In the private sector, we focus on commercial and mixed‑use buildings. Our London expertise has contributed to a portfolio featuring some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, such as The Gherkin and Heron Tower. Together, we are building a better society by shaping the future with innovation and purpose.

Security Clearance: Successful candidates will have to pass high security clearance (SC). In order to pass, both UK and non‑UK subjects must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

What you'll do:

* Assisting in the daily control, management, and coordination of site activities
* Assist with developing, maintaining and delivery of robust detailed project plans for the Delivery Team
* Keeping a detailed diary of works planned and carried out by sub‑contractors
* Ensuring our sub‑contractors are working to the latest programme of works, are signed up to the relevant method statements and checking they understand what is required
* Contributing to site progress meetings
* Building positive working relationships with sub‑contractors
* Solving issues on site and monitoring risks
* Ensuring health & safety is adhered to, including site inspections, and conducting site inductions.
* Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is received, reviewed and communicated where necessary
* Logging and resolving any defects found and challenge current methodology by putting forward innovative ideas
* You will be involved in all aspects of construction project delivery from concept design, through to planning, construction, commissioning, validation handover and into operation.

What you'll bring to the role:

* 3 A-levels at Grade A - C, BTEC Extended National Diploma or equivalent level 3 qualification.
* 5 GCSEs at Grades 4-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent for us to successfully enrol you on the apprenticeship
* Thrive in a collaborative environment where your contributions are valued and celebrated
* Dependable team player who actively supports and promotes collective success
* Inquisitive and driven by a passion to grow and innovate
* You must have lived in the UK in the last 3 years and have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for an apprenticeship. We are not able to proceed with applications that require visa sponsorship.
* We are not able to proceed with applications from candidates that have already achieved a degree in a similar discipline.

What qualification will you be studying towards?

Initially, you will be studying a level 4 qualification in Construction Management at a nominated local college or University, with the option to progress to a level 6 qualification afterwards.

* You will join a community of 100+ graduates and apprentices, with opportunities to build networks and collaborate across the business
* Support and guidance from experienced leaders and teams, plus development pathways to help you achieve professional accreditation — we cover membership expenses for the professional body of your choice
* Regular professional and social events
* Opportunities to volunteer at least one day per year
* Access to our employee networks including Women’s, Ability, Pride, O.N.E (Origins Nationality Ethnicity), Military, and Mental Health & Wellbeing
* My Rewards discounts and cycle to work scheme to support a healthy work–life balance where possible
* You would be joining a mental‑health‑aware organisation and will have access to wellbeing support through our employee assistance programme, mental health ambassador network and wellbeing conversations

Programme start date: September 2026 - Join our team of 27,000 problem solvers and creative thinkers, where knowledge is our greatest creation. We share, listen and support your success – every step of the way.
