A Senior Environmental Advisor vacancy has arisen within our fast-growing company based at our Head Office in Skegness. This is an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental team.

Job Title: Senior Environmental Advisor
Job Type: Full Time
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday; 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (with half an hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary Range: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Job Purpose: Responsible for delivering the Microngreen Environment and Sustainability Strategy. Acts as the technical expert within the business on environmental matters, supporting regulatory and legal compliance, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, developing key metrics, and building an environmental network to support projects and initiatives.
Key Duties:
1. Lead the delivery of the Microngreen Environment and Sustainability Strategy, including reporting, monitoring, and project management with stakeholders.
2. Advise on environmental issues, ensuring understanding of regulatory, legal, and permitting requirements, including risk management and future compliance needs.
3. Oversee the Our Climate Pillar by developing metrics for carbon emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), supporting project delivery, regulatory reporting, and energy reduction initiatives.
4. Manage waste reduction schemes, water efficiency, and packaging reduction efforts, collaborating with internal and external teams.
5. Support R&D and strategy teams on environmental materials and circular economy initiatives through the 3Rs—reducing, reusing, and recycling waste.
6. Lead the People & Communicates Pillar, maintaining accreditations, delivering awards, and developing social value metrics and workshops.
7. Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 Management Systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
* Chartered status or working towards it is desirable.
* Experience in carbon reporting, environmental regulation, and circular economy practices.
* Proactive project management skills.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency with IT systems and office software.
* Full clean UK/EU driving license.
