Billing Assistant - 12 Months FTC Location: Bolton
Position: 12 months Fixed Term
Hours: 35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch
To work within the Billing Team and ensure bills are raised promptly and in line with our client guidelines. To ensure that a timely and accurate service is provided at all times to both internal and external customers.
Key Accountabilities
1. Despatch of bills to our clients using various methods, email, post, client portals and bordereaux report and dealing with any queries arising from this in a timely manner
2. Assisting with Bolton billing queries and final bill inboxes when required
3. Dealing with bill reversals and investigate reasons for bill discrepancies and take steps to reduce errors
4. Triggering and manually raising bills in accordance with the client guidelines
5. Updating bill distribution list and ensuring our records are accurate
6. Liaison with our fee earningmunity and other members of Keoghs staff, ensuring all tasks are carried out effectively and to a high standard
7. Providing cover for the absence of other team members
8. Carrying out other general duties as requested by the Billing Team Leader to ensure that Finance Department objectives are being met
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
9. Being able to work in a high-volume environment
10. IT literate, the candidate should have a very good understanding of using spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applications and have good numeracy skills
11. Excellent attention to detail when transferring and inputting data
12. Ability tomunicate effectively with other Keoghs staff members at varying levels (fee earners and partners etc) and external client contacts
13. To take an active role within the Finance department and display excellent team working skills
14. To be flexible in order to proactively assist in the general day to day duties of the finance department
