Job Description
We are seeking a proactive HR Assistant to join the HR team and provide essential support across all areas of Human Resources. This part-time, fixed-term role offers a varied workload and excellent exposure to all aspects of HR, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Organising employee council meetings and taking minutes
* Coordinating Long Service Awards, including payments, trophies, and certificates
* Supporting employee engagement initiatives and events
* Assisting with the Catalytic Coaching programme
* Monitoring staff absence and ensuring all relevant forms are completed by managers and employees
* Supporting HR projects as directed by the HR Director
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Assisting with recruitment processes, including advertising, arranging interviews, and preparing employment contracts
* Planning and organising HR inductions
* Ensuring new starters are set up on all relevant systems and benefits
HR Administration
* Maintaining and updating HR systems, including ADP
* Preparing monthly headcount reports and ensuring HR compliance and accurate record keeping
* Producing reports as required
* Supporting HR administration for other UK and international locations when needed
* Processing leavers and organising training sessions
Employee Relations
* Arranging disciplinary and grievance hearings and taking meeting notes
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Proven administrative experience
* Previous experience working in an HR role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Desirable:
* Experience working within a manufacturing environment
