Position Snapshot Nestlé UK & Ireland Category Sales Finance Controller - Nestlé Professional Starbucks and Beverage Solutions Gatwick Salary £55,000-£65,000 (depending on expereince) Car allowance Potential Bonus Pensions 25 days holiday 12 days flex leave This is a full-time permanent opportunity, but we are always open to discuss individual's flexible working needs so please speak to us during the recruitment process to understand what this could look like for you. Position Summary We are recruiting for a focused individual to join the Sales Controlling finance team with key focus on providing Finance Co-piloting support to the Nestlé Professional Starbucks and Beverage Solutions category. You'll be responsible for supporting the category in completing the Monthly Business Planning cycle, creating transparency around the Net Net Sales (NNS) delivery and variances to targets, supporting the Category and Sales teams with pricing optimisation, delivering the Dynamic Forecast proposal to the Category Head of Finance, ensuring the accuracy of the Period End Close process, leading category and brand profitability reviews, and providing actionable insights to deliver accretive product margins. In addition to the current year the role will also support the category team in the development of the Market Business Strategy plan and the Integrated Commercial Plan. A day in the life of As a Category Sales Controller, you will analyse performance metrics to identify growth and profitability trends across both the current year and medium term time periods. This will be in collaboration with both the Nestlé Professional Head of Finance and also the Starbucks and Beverage Solutions category teams. This will include attending planning meetings to discuss business risks and opportunities, and to develop financial proposals for validation. Your role is crucial in ensuring the business financial success and strategic growth within the category. You will also; Support MBS Preparation : Assist the Nestlé Professional Head of Finance and Starbucks and Beverage Solutions teams in preparing and delivering the MBS. Integrated Commercial Planning : Support the Category Integrated Commercial Planning process to achieve Year 1 MBS KPIs, understanding growth and profit components of the P&L. Monthly Business Planning : Attend relevant Monthly Business Planning meetings to align on business risks and opportunities, aiming to drive growth and NNS delivery for market outperformance within the current year whilst ensuring profit delivery at category and brand levels. Resource Allocation : Optimize resource allocation in line with Portfolio Strategy. DF Proposal Delivery : Prepare and deliver DF proposals to the Category Head of Finance for validation, including visibility on risks and opportunities. PEC Process Management : Analyse growth/NNS and profit components within the Category P&L and communicate monthly DF and PEC plans to relevant teams. Volume and Pricing Simulations : Run quarterly volume and selling price simulations to protect product margins; collaborate with Sales Controlling for actionable insights. Brand Profitability Management : Lead monthly and quarterly brand profitability reviews, providing detailed analysis and insights to sustain profitability. Pricing Strategy Support : Assist in developing pricing strategies, promotional guidelines, scenario planning, and preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews and CDT training. What will make you successful? To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Accountant, or have strong professional development through a breadth of experience across the finance function, and ideally including commercial finance experience. You'll be self-sufficient and results focused with great analytical skills. You'll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy for Nestle Professional. You'll also have great communication skills that enable you to challenge and influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive stakeholder relationships. Being proactive and challenging in order to generate business is a must, as is having a real desire to get to the heart of issues that may arise. Coupled with your ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that is very often ambiguous and sometimes pressured.
