Robert Half are partnering with a global manufacturing business to appoint a new Financial Accounting Manager. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant, looking to make the next career step. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, with expertise in both UK and GAAP. Strong knowledge of UK taxation and filing requirements and skilled in Internal Controls.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and US GAAP.
2. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
3. Oversee reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
5. Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors.
6. Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
8. Possess excellent technical skills and be commercially astute.
9. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
10. Strong understanding of UK taxation and filing requirements.
Requirements:
11. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA/ACCA qualification preferred.
12. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting roles.
13. Thorough understanding of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
14. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
15. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
17. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
18. Prior experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is desirable.
